As educators, we confront cultural differences on a daily basis. Since the impact of these differences is often subtle, it can easily undermine communication in unexpected ways.
 
This seminar focuses on Intercultural Interaction. By understanding culturally related communication patterns, we can more readily diagnose what may have gone wrong, suggest useful ways to bridge the difference, and enjoy the diversity in our work. Through a lively presentation, discussions, activities, and ever-so-brief lectures, we will:
 
·       Explore cultural patterns in communication styles
·       Assess strategies for adapting to other styles
·       Practice both direct and indirect communication styles
