For the learner, English pronunciation holds a few well-known challenges – and some lesser known ones. When using English in professional and international contexts, being able to avoid the main pitfalls means that the speaker's accent will come across as natural, effortless and easy to understand. And while there is no need to sound precisely like a native speaker, a solid command of pronunciation also enhances spoken fluency and will help to put listeners at ease. This workshop seeks to identify the main pronunciation pitfalls for German learners and to explore ways of helping to avoid them.
